Foundation of Advance Java Programming

This course provides all the necessary foundation in Java programming language to create and maintain a Web site. Attendees will study the sciences of Object-Oriented programming with extensive hand-on examples.

Sofitel Centara Grand hosted lunchfor Children at Baan Nontapum

Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok led by Andreas Korf (Centre), Resident Manager along with management and hotel staff recently hosted lunch, gave educational materials and other needed items to children of Baan Nontapum at Nontraburi and was welcomed by Somdech Surawat (4th, right), Superintendent of the home.

Baan Nontapum was established on November, 1970 with the mission of caring for children with disabilities (visual, hearing, or various physical impairments). The target group is homeless, abandoned, or orphaned children aged from 7 to 18 years old, and children from troubled families. The Home provides appropriate living accommodations according to the physical needs of the child.

Promotes The Hitachi Library Project for expanding donation to 200 schools

Hitachi Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd today announced that Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi, Ltd., Takashi Kawamura visited Bangkok in celebration of two milestone events - the 100th anniversary of the Hitachi Group in Japan as well as the 50th anniversary of Hitachi operations in Thailand.


About 300 guests attended the high-profile ceremony which was graced by M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra, Governor of Bangkok. Other notable guests included Dr. Atchaka Brimble, Secretary General, Office of the Board of Investment in Thailand’s Ministry of Industry as well as the Ambassador

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand, His Excellency Kyoji Komachi.

At the ceremony, Mr Kawamura said, "2010 marks significant milestones in Hitachi history. Firstly, it marks the100th anniversary of the Hitachi Group. Secondly, we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hitachi operations in Thailand which has enabled our business to expand regionally and globally. The aim of the Hitachi Library Project is to enhance student knowledge and reading skills. APIC Announces Foundation Scholarships for Students from Thailand to Study Project Management

Asia Pacific International College (APIC) has announced that four Foundation scholarships, valued up to AUD$12,500 each, will be awarded to students from Thailand to study Master or MBA degrees focused on Project and Program Management. The College may also offer limited scholarships to additional suitably qualified applicants.


Despite being a relatively new field, project and program management qualifications and expertise are in great demand worldwide. However, because of the limited number of places in higher education institutions, few students have the opportunity to pursue a career in this field. APIC believes in rewarding academic talent and inspiring the next generation of project and program managers.

The scholarships will be offered to students from Thailand interested in pursuing either Master of Business and Project Management or the MBA (Project and Program Management) degrees full time in Australia for commencement in April and September 2010. KIS International School and KTC raise donation for Bueng Praram 9 Bor 3 Community Pre-School Development Center Library with a major event.

KIS International School and “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited have scheduled their annual fund raising event titled “KIS Fun Fair 2010” on Saturday February 6th, 2010. Part of the proceeds will be donated as contribution towards the purchase of instructional materials for the library of Bueng Praram 9 Bor 3 Community Pre-School Development Center. The program is a follow-up of the one from last year. KIS Fun Fair 2010 will comprise four zones: fantastic value international products and food, thrilling world-class theme park rides, over 1,000,000 Baht worth raffles and on-stage performance by LOVEiS artists. Bueng Praram 9 Bor 3 Community Pre-School Development Center was previously known as Pak Klong Lat Phrao Community and under the supervision of Department of Public Welfare. Subsequently, in 1989, it was renamed Bueng Praram 9 Community and the supervision was transferred to the Community Development Department of Huai Khwang District Office. Its objective is to be the second residence for children whose parents have to leave home for work. The center currently has 90 students aged three to six under the care of eight volunteers who help prepare the children for further education.
